The Harrogate branch of Woolworths was one of the last to shut out of the 807 UK stores. Around 27000 people have lost their jobs after the company which had been going for 99 years went into administration. And without a buyer being found in time there was no hope in saving the chain.

Is the demise of Woolworths due to the economic climate or has it been on the horizon for some years due to ill conceived pricing structures.?What ever the reason it is never good to see so many people put out of work.

Imyge Net the producers of www.harrogateonline.com have just launched a new website Rossett School PTA in Harrogate.

The aim of the site is to help make the activities of the PTA more transparent, to try and get more parents involved and to help with the communication of PTA events to parents with what is such a big school.

The site will serve othe rpurposes like allowing people to bid on the lots for the charity auction the PTA are holding at the end of February.
