‘Little Shop of Horrors’ Harrogate Theatre 19th – 23rd May 2009

Harrogate St Andrew’s Players are delighted to present the classic musical comedy ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ which tells the story of Seymour, a hapless hero, who comes across a new plant that he names Audrey Two, named after the love of his life and fellow shop assistant Audrey ‘One’!

Created as a spoof horror movie in 1960, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS became a hit Broadway musical in 1982, when HOWARD ASHMAN and ALAN MENKEN composed fantastic music and lyrics in the style of the sixties!

With our award winning production team of LOUISE DENISON (direction and choreography) and JIM LUNT (musical direction) . LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is sure to bring the house down at HARROGATE THEATRE from MAY 19 – MAY 23.

WARNING: THIS SHOW CONTAINS FABULOUS SONGS, TERRIFIC ROUTINES AND A MAN-EATING PLANT! (But no REAL horror- so it is suitable for the whole family!) It is a musical comedy which is rarely performed in the Harrogate district so it is an opportunity to see something different! So, come and join in the hilarious adventure as Audrey Two turns out to be a real handful!!!

Tickets are available from the Box Office 01423 502 116 or Sue Kelley, Business Manager 01423 883070

Tuesday 19th May – Friday 22nd 7.30pm
Saturday 23rd May 2.30pm and 7.30pm
Tickets: £10 – £16

The Harrogate branch of Woolworths was one of the last to shut out of the 807 UK stores. Around 27000 people have lost their jobs after the company which had been going for 99 years went into administration. And without a buyer being found in time there was no hope in saving the chain.

Is the demise of Woolworths due to the economic climate or has it been on the horizon for some years due to ill conceived pricing structures.?What ever the reason it is never good to see so many people put out of work.
