From Monday 29th October to Friday 2nd November our Special Children’s Tours of the Castle will have a Ghostly Halloween feel and our guides will relay the Castles very own ghostly stories, these are being held twice daily at 11.30am and 1.30pm which are suitable for families with children aged 5-16 years.

Watch Wizard Malin as he performs Magic in his mystical Den! Allakhazam, wizardrywoo watch the magic or he'll put a spell on you!! Enter the Den between 1pm and 6pm and receive a spooky present from the depths of the cauldron. Prices: £5.50 per child.

Following on from last years screaming success, The Halloween Adventure at Stockeld Park once again hosts 4 terrifying Fright Nights. The question is: are you brave enough? Wednesday 31st October to Saturday 3rd November 2012 - 5.30pm to 9.30pm each night. Ticket Prices: £13.50 for adults £11.50 for children (11 years and under) Fright Night is aimed at adults and older children (from at least 8 years upwards). Wondering what to do with the kids this Halloween? Why not try our Halloween Climbing Party? Lots of spooky fun and climbing games, sweets and treats, fancy dress and prizes all for just £12 a head. Suitable for ages 5-11. Places limited so don’t forget to book early!

We also have a spooky Haunted Halloween Trail around the Gardens taking place anytime between 9.00am and 4.30pm each day and a treat for all who take part. Children who are dress in Halloween costume on these days can visit our Garden Room between 12noon and 3pm and have the chance to have their photo taken, which will be displayed on our very own “Ripley Castle Haunted Halloween Wall of Fame”. Special treats for all children in Halloween Costume. Children can enjoy having a go at making Halloween Lanterns or Creepy Spiders at our Halloween themed craft table when they visit the Garden Room between 12noon and 3pm on these days.

Come on our hideous trail with grave diggers, ghosts, and ghouls - a delight for all the family £1 extra for trail - Prizes on completion - no need to book. Entrance charges may apply, please call to confirm

Enjoy a fantastic day on the adventure nature trail. Search for the items to complete the Studfold Halloween Spell. Come along to solve clues to find the larger than life acorns. Find out about the trees around you and WIN a Halloween surprise. Plant your own acorn. This is great fun, like an Easter Egg hunt - i.e. An Autumn Acorn Hunt! Standard admission prices apply. Bring a picnic - we will take it to the picnic/playarea. Hot/cold drinks available to buy. Do not forget something small to put in the secret swap box! Warm clothes and suitable footwear.
